Enjoy a hike through the beautiful Amana timber with one of our Amana Society Foresters! Learn about conservation efforts in these historic forests while experiencing nature in Iowa’s largest private timber reserve. Hikers can participate in hands-on activities such as calculating the growth of a forest. Included in the fee is the opportunity to have a tree planted in your name to help perpetuate the forests! Swing Dance with Rod Pierson Big Band Featuring Craig Boche
Amana Heritage Society will host a swing dance in the Amana Colonies in coordination with the Amana Colonies Maifest. Join us and swing in spring with Rod Pierson Big Band Featuring Craig Boche. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to dance, the University of Iowa Swing Club will be giving lessons. Come dressed in your favorite vintage swing style and get a dollar off admission. Lessons start at 7pm, Rod Pierson will take the stage at 7:30 at the Festhalle barn in Amana. Admission $6. For more information call 319-622-3567.
