Open Fire Chili

The Amana Firefighters serve chili, cider, coffee & hot chocolate starting at 11am until it’s gone. All proceeds go to benefit the Amana Fire Association.

Log Sawing Competition
11am – 1pm
Teams of two can compete to see how fast they are with an old-fashioned cross-cut saw, or try it just for fun! Winners announced at 1:30. Sponsored by the Amana Forestry Department.

Hammerschlagen
11am – 1pm
Compete to be the first to drive a nail into a cross-section of a log to be a winner in this fast-paced game. Sponsored by the Amana Furniture and Clock Shop.

The Great Amana Ham-Put
11am – 1pm
See how far you can fling a ham in this shot-put style event! Winners announced at 1:30pm after the Best Beard Competition. Sponsored by the Amana Meat Shop.

Eisbahn Ice Rink

Winter Wreath Toss

Best Beard Competition

Winterfest Scavenger Hunt

Pick up an entry form at one of these participating businesses, then complete 10 or more answers for a chance to win an Amana Colonies Gift Basket! Bring the completed forms to the Amana Meat Shop & Smokehouse and receive a free cookie specially made by the South Amana Bakery! Carl Oehl, retired Amana Burgermeister, will draw the winner of the gift basket at 5pm at the Meat Shop.

Cooking on the Communal Hearth

Pictures with Yokey the Bear

Kids can visit the Ox Yoke Inn and have their pictures taken with Yokey the Bear. Downstairs in the Bierstube, try some “Oxen wings” and winter specials 11am to 9pm.

Lehm Books & Gifts Door Prize Drawing

Winter Warmer-Upper Wine Walk

Try hot spiced wine and other samples as you travel from winery to winery. A total of six wineries!

Kids can visit the Chocolate Haus and dip their own chocolate for only $3.50.

Live Entertainment at the Bierstube
5pm – 9pm
Enjoy live music from accordionist Ron Johnson and specials all day in the Bierstube, located in the lower level of the Ox Yoke Inn.

CHANGE OF VENUE
Winterfest Dance with Silver Wings at the Old Brickhouse Market
6:00pm – 9:30pm
Dance the night away with Amana’s favorite Beatles tribute band, Silver Wings! Music starts at 6pm and lasts until the band wears out. A special fundraiser for the Amana Fire Association, the dance will take place at the Old Brick House Market (formerly the Brick Haus Restaurant). Attendees can bring their own beverages or donate to the Amana Fire Association and have a beer from one of the complimentary kegs. A dinner buffet filled with all your favorite American foods will be available beginning at 5pm, with a suggested donation of $15 also benefitting the Amana Fire Association. We’ll have plenty of room at the Old Brick House, so come ready to dance!
